Course Overview

Dimensional Design presents art students with problems in image making and
design development which are patterned
with commercial applications in mind. Students will use a variety of media with
an emphasis on computer generated art.
We
will be using our sketchbooks intensively in order to brainstorm ideas and Adobe
Photoshop and Illustrator to produce final works.

It
is our belief that a student's progress will develop best in a safe environment
where students can develop a good work ethic and help each other in a
constructive cooperative manner. We encourage you to participate in your

We
grade on a total points possible system. The points are acquired through the
successful assessment of the criteria listed below.
Work
Ethic (Foundations:
50% Intermediate/Advanced: 20%)

Time √ Class contribution, group criticisms, and interaction √ Maintenance √
Safety
Physically being there: If, for any reason, a
student is not present during a class period they will lose their points. Work
can be made-up.
Mentally
being there: Students
can be losing up to all of their work ethic points through violations of the
classroom procedures/rules.

Ethic points will be assessed every session and computed every two weeks.)
